Your booking link is the key: whoever has it, has it

When you book here you do not create an account, you do not choose a password and you do not have to remember one. In their place you get an address: a page with your booking’s code inside it, which reaches you by email the moment you press.

That address does two things: it shows how it went, and it cancels.

The upside, which is why it works this way

You do not have to sign up to book a table, and you do not have to log back in to see how it ended. You open the link from your phone, your laptop, the office computer: it always works, because the link is the key. How little you have to say about yourself to use this site is in another article.

The other side, plainly

Anyone who has that link has your booking. They can read it, and they can cancel it. There is no second step asking «is this you?», because there is no you to recognise.

So:

• do not pass it around in a group chat, and do not post it anywhere;
• to tell somebody where you are eating tonight, send the restaurant’s listing, not the booking;
• on a shared computer, close the tab afterwards and do not leave it in somebody else’s history.

The page says as much in one line when you land on it: *«Keep this link: it is where you see how it went, and where you can cancel.»*

If you lose it

It happens, and that is why «My bookings» exists: the browser keeps a list of where you have been, on the device, and you reopen them from there. It is not an archive of ours and it is not an account: change phone and that list is gone.

If you have neither the email nor the device, the way through is the restaurant: they have the booking in their own book, and their phone number is on their listing.
