If it is about your booking: the restaurant
Changing the time, adding a person, warning them you are late, asking for a table outside, flagging an allergy: these are decided by whoever is looking at the dining room, and we cannot answer for them. The restaurant’s phone number is on its listing, at the top.
To cancel you do not even need to call: it is done from the booking page, the one whose link reached you by email and that you also find under My bookings.
If the place confirmed the table on the spot, the restaurant sees your booking in its own system the moment you made it. Phoning works.
If a listing is wrong, or the place has closed
At the bottom of every listing there is a link to report it, and the form it opens asks for no sign-up: the reason, two lines if you want, and that is it. When several people report the same thing consistently, the listing leaves the site until it is checked.
It is also the fastest way to get an opening time or a phone number corrected: it comes to us, not to the restaurant, which may never have seen that listing.
If you requested a table and nobody answered
The request page says how long to wait, and what silence means. The reason is in the frequently asked questions: not every place here uses Bitebooker, and for those we pass the request along without being able to promise an answer.
If you run a restaurant
The page for restaurants says what happens when a listing is claimed, and how. It covers both asking for yours and asking to have it removed.
If it is about your data
What we collect, where it goes and what you can ask for is in how we handle your data. Requests about what the restaurant did with your details after the booking — its records, its messages — go to them: we cannot reach into their customer database.
